CHURCH HEATING

Revolutionary approach to the church heating

Ways of mounting of infrared radiant panels - IZOTERMA

The main reason is to provide heat during church services which are held.

Radiant panels IZOTERMA are an unrivalled heating system of a church. It is the only system that meets the basic requirements of conservation, while being very effective at the same time. Moreover, it does not disturb the microclimate inside the church, thus it does not contribute to long term degradation – destruction of works of art that are in the church. This system of heating does not lower the relative humidity, and therefore, it is recommended by conservators.

A limited budget does not allow heating a church throughout the heating season continuously. High interior, large open spaces, limited wall surfaces (which are occupied), large windows and doors, poor insulation of the walls, and above all the lack of thermal insulation of the floor – all these factors cause that the costs of heating a church continuously are very high.

A revolutionary approach to the heating of churches lies in the installation of radiant panels in the pews, which provide heat at the floor level in a specific place and at the right time. This solves the problem of heating the church (to maintain minimum operating costs, which are directly proportional and closely related to the number of occupied seats). Increased absorption and emission of thermal radiation, making radiant panels an extremely efficient heating system.

The heat is transferred directly to the congregation.
Each pew can be switched on independently and, therefore, operating costs are reduced to an absolute minimum. One can say that the fee is charged on the principle: "pay per pew”. Let us remember that the costs of efficient heating cannot be lower. Operating costs are easy to calculate.

Complete heating shutdown

Many heating systems require constant operation, even when the church is not in use – in order to maintain the ambient temperature at the next service. Our system does not require constant heating and is activated only during a service; therefore there’s no heating costs.

IZOTERMA zones heating system allows one to choose the relevant control to the operating requirements:

  • simple controls according to zones - on / off
  • electronic and programmable - allows power adjusting (decrease) in particular sections, setting the heating time during the week as well as to maintain the temperature with a temperature probe.

We are able to define the needs of the investor; if necessary we carry out an inspection of the building, then we present a solution, and at the same time we make a list of devices, along with the calculation of the cost of their purchase.

You have two choices: take advantage of the complete electrical installation and the purchase of equipment that will be performed by a team of professional contract electricians (they will discuss with you in advance and choose the best options for your installation) or – we consider it a very practical solution – you can use your own trusted electrician. We have nothing against your own electrician installing and performing the heating system; on the contrary, we provide help and support at any time. This solution allows you to customize your work according to the availability of the church space (free of services), shorten the period of performance and significantly reduce the cost of installation works.

Radiant panels are effective, safe to use, vandal-proof, energy-saving.
Long-term durability.

Infrared radiant panels type K

Infrared radiant panels transfer their radiant energy perpendicular to their surface, no matter what position the panels are mounted in (vertically or horizontally). The radiant panels ensure immediate and reliable heating in a specific place and time. The radiant panels are used for heating and complementary heating of a certain zone. The panels transfer their heat at the floor level and heat the feet of a person sitting in the pew.

Application – churches, auditoriums, lecture halls, booths, places of permanent job, cashiers posts, receptions, clerical positions (heating of certain spots – source of heating located under the desk).

Modern technology – the highest efficiency and energy saving. Heat is transferred directly to people sitting in the pews, structure of the pew is not heated. Just a few seconds after switching on the radiant panel, emitted heat can be felt.

INSTALLATION – radiant panels are to be mounted on the back side of the pew – above the kneeler, or under the seat of the pew. Before mounting the panels, the electrical connections are to be performed in installation boxes by connecting the panels with each other. Then, along the lines marked earlier, one should mark holes, drill and then mount the panel into the surface of the pew. Panel length should be selected according to the size of free space avaliable (place where panels are to be installed). It is recommended to mount the panels above the kneeler, so that the sitting person has the radiant panel in front; as a result of this, the highest efficiency of heating is achieved. The most important parameter is the efficiency of heating. Sometimes, it is useful to perform minor alterations on the surface on the back side of a pew to maintain this value. Mounting the panels under the seat should take into account possible structural difficulties such as wooden laths, braces, etc. Panels should be mounted so as to emit thermal radiation in the space from the feet to the knees of a person. The heating panel must be mounted at a suitable angle of inclination relative to the surface.
Free space between the radiant panel and the seat or the back side of the pew is covered with the masking strip, which protects the free space before placing of undesirable objects.
